Hi Rimon,
Your plugin looks good.
Will it work with BuddyPress 1.7?
(Final Beta is available for download now)
Thanks

I just tried the free version in BP 1.7 and I got some error messages:
Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/mysite/public_html/mysite.com/beta/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-user-account-type-lite/include/admin/buat-admin-pages.php on line 135

We have the paid version. I’m getting this error on our sign up page:
TypeError: j(…).val(…) is undefined
new_fields = j(‘#conditional_field_values’).val().split(‘,’);
http://therackmedia.com/register/
Line 230
Error appears every time I try to switch user account type on the sign up where the fields for that account type is supposed to appear.

Hi Rimon.
Is there any chance BUAT PRO might eventually be better integrated with the BP Profile Search plugin?
I’m using BP Profile Search (which uses a static form to search Buddypress’ extended profile fields) and while BP User Account Type Pro functions with it, BP Profile Search doesn’t respond dynamically with BUAT PRO field types, so since I have four account forms through BPUAT Pro, ALL the custom fields are represented in the BP Profile Search form.
It’s not a huge problem (and it’s certainly not YOUR problem), but perhaps there is an easy solution for greater compatibility. This would be much cleaner looking for your users who also have BP Profile Search active on their sites. Just a hopeful suggestion. I’ve contacted BP Profile Search, too, with the same question as I think it’s probably an easier adjustment on their end.
Thanks for the GREAT plugin!

Hello Rimon
I moved my site to a new server and started using “WP Roles at Registration” as it made it simpler for new users to select an account type than having them use one that was part of the general user profile fields that you need if you use BPUAT PRO.
How do i get BPUAT PRO in the first setting that controls how BPUAT PRO chooses what account types you have so i can start using it again?
Also i would have keep using the old set up but the reason why i had to stop and use “WP Roles at Registration” when new users where signing up if i just had the profile field list the user account types with the most general user role most our users sign up for listed it did not display the fields to fill out for that user role type just the fields i had set in the general user field section.
So to alleviate that i put a please choose your membership type….. at the top of the list but this still caused issues as you can not set that as a non selectable choice and since most people expect registration to be fast and straight forward just see it as an optional field even though you have it set as a required field but since you can not make that selection not a valid choice to sign up with and if you just list the membership role types the default ones extra profile fields are not displayed at sign up you wind up with allot of users with blank profiles.
No matter what i do if i keep the new role choice for selection at sign up or BPUAT PRO to handle it i still am stuck with the core group of users of my site having blank profiles only populated by their user name and them thinking that’s the only thing their profiles display unless i explain to them they can add more info if they update their profiles. This is making my site look half developed and like i do not care to develope it my self or have the funds to have it developed yet almost most the plugins i use are paid for such as BPUAT PRO.
And since i am dealing with Music Artist their labels and managers and Promoting company’s as well who also sign up on my site as we provide news social networking and business contact networking in the area of the recording industry we cover news wise we loose potential revenue daily and are extremely close to looking into other plugins to handle this even though when we original purchased BPUAT PRO we had been using the original version till pro came out and stuck with you. we need a fix fast Rimon.

I bought the plugin. It’s really great !
But I have a little problem : I need USERS to be able to have SEVERAL TYPES, so the drop-down choice is a problem for me. I need checkboxes.
For exemple I have TYPES for professions like : dancer, singer, musician, etc. My members can be both dancer and singer so I need them to see dedicated fields for both types or more.
How can I change this limitation of BUAT PRO to propose to choose TYPES from drop-down menu field for a checkboxes field instead. Hope it’s not a big deal. I can change some code if you tell me what to do. Thx!

I’d like to integrate BUAP Pro with the core BP widget “recently active members”. What I’d like is to be able to show recently active members of a particular user-type.
I’m sure this is possible with a small edit to this code from bp-core-widgets.php:
<a href="” title=”">
Unfortunately I’m not proficient enough in my coding ability to work out what to add to filter results to X user type….
Any assistance would be much appreciated

Hi guys
I have 5 different user types. These are all determined upon registration using Buddypress User Account Type Pro
I would like to add a class to various parts of a members public profile to colour them differently to each other. For example, the users avatar would have a red border if they were profile type 1, blue if they were profile type 2.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,
Ian
